I am really excited to share in this months newsletter a few new exhibitions and opportunities which have been happening.
The RSA 195th Exhibition went live online this month and I am delighted to have two pieces shown amongst such a fantastic selection of artists. Although it would be wonderful to have the work in the building itself, with the show being online it has given the opportunity for people to access the exhibition across the world, resulting in international exposure for the artists.
I have also had the privileged opportunity to share more about my practice and studio by being selected for the Programme of Events which run alongside the exhibition. I delivered a presentation, talk and studio tour as part of the Open Studios 2 Event earlier in the month and I was very happy that it was so well received. The talk was to the largest audience I have spoken to before with it reaching over 100 people, and I am really grateful to have had this opportunity to share more about the work I have in the show. The exhibition runs until the 30th May and you can view the show through this link:
In regards to my residency, I cannot believe how quickly it is passing - I am having the best time!! I am super excited to be delivering a workshop to the Painting Course on Monday and looking forward to see what interesting results come from the image transfer technique.
Finally, the Graduate Residence Interim Show at Leith School of Art opened this week, showcasing the work that Eve and I have been making on our residency. It is wonderful to finally have a physical exhibition with people able to view the work we have been making in our studio at Custom House. You can see the show (in person!) by booking an appointment with LSA https://www.leithschoolofart.co.uk/whats-on-details/graduate-residency-interim-show It runs until the 25th June 2021.
