Build Up

January has been a month of preparing, finalising and building up various aspects of my work in preparation for many exciting things happening in February.

I have a few talks coming up - one of which is at George Watson's College for the Sixth years where I will discuss 'Finalising a Project'.

I am really looking forward to leading another One Day workshop at Leith School of Art Exploring Gesso, Surface and Image. This will take place in February and I am eager to share this process with a new cohort of students.

However, for me the most exciting things that is coming up is the Royal Scottish Academy New Contemporaries Exhibition 2022. This was postponed a year due to the pandemic and despite being initially upset by this, it has been a blessing in disguise. The extended time has allowed for me to explore my ideas further and develop even more new work. I am particularly excited to share a piece which I have kept hidden for 12 months now!

I have been assisting in a lot of classes in the past few months and it has been incredibly inspiring to work with all of the pupils. Hope you enjoy a selection of images of their work:
