Exhibition Excitement

July was another incredibly exciting month for exhibitions. With the start of the month being my End of Residency Exhibition with Eve at Custom House Gallery to my first solo show in Aberdeen, to a Gray's Painting Reunion show in Glasgow- its all been happening!!

The End of Residency exhibition was such a success and I was overwhelmed with the support of family and friends who came to see the show- so thank you if you did! We welcomed over 320 people to the space just over the weekend!! It was incredibly special to share the work we had been making over the past year whilst on our Residency with Leith School of Art.

My very exciting news is that my first ever solo show has opened in Aberdeen and runs until the end of August. I am showing a series of paintings 'The Uneven Land', alongside paintings 'Home was Home Then' and a series of drawings. I am really grateful for the opportunity with Second Home Studio + Cafe - please check it out if you get a chance!

It was also great to be able to run a Cyanotype Workshop at Second Home, with some fantastic results emerging from the evening session! It's always very exciting to teach people new skills.

Finally, Gray's Painting graduates have organised 'A Reunion Painting Exhibition' with SixFoot Gallery in Glasgow, which opened Friday 30th July and runs until the 20th August. As exciting as it was to see my work made for my Degree on a wall, it was even more great to be able to reunite with the peers on my course, many of whom I had not seen since we vacated the studios in Gray's prior to lockdown. A very special evening!
